Arkansas Department of Inspector General

Act 910 of 2019 is known as the Arkansas Transformation and Efficiencies Act.  That Act created the Arkansas Department of Inspector General for the State of Arkansas and established a cabinet level position to lead the department.  Section 5257 of Act 910 of 2019 provides that the administrative functions of the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission, The Office of Internal Audit section and the Office of Medicaid Inspector General are to be transferred to the Arkansas Department of Inspector General. 

The 93^rd General Assembly of the State of Arkansas passed Act 586 of 2021 that created the Arkansas Tax Appeals Commission, which is to be an independent agency within the Arkansas Department of Inspector General.
